Here and Now

My Godmother told me last week

favorite...

The delicate balance of now and then,
lies in the silent morning.
The sun drawing it's artistry
on my walls of now,
reminding me of the prismatic
shadows of before.
The hush of now whispers,
as the birds sing their hellos
sitting on the glassy ocean of now,
that only moves with winds of then.
So, how do we sail to tomorrow,
if we don't move to then from now,
looking for what's yet to come.
There's such wonder in the wave,
that pushes us in light and dark...
to the here and now...
